Butch, also known as the “Yard Sale” man, is utilizing his extra space for his one of a kind finds at the local yard sales. He is a local self-employed prospector, with a keen eye for quality. He searches places many of us do not dare venture, the dumpster! Butch searches for useful items that were discarded and can still be useful to someone else. He makes his living with his girlfriend, collecting and sorting through daily truck loads and hopefully coming out with a profitable catch. Butch’s work is similar to the local shrimpers and fishermen, culling their nets hoping for the best, always striving to care for their families and loved ones.
The Yard Sale man is as much of the local population as anyone in our community. This town has a strong history in fishing and shrimping; in his own way, Butch, the Yard Sale Man, carries on the tradition.
